*Saturday, May 16: Transgender Partners Discussion Group meets at 4 p.m. at The Center on High (1160 N. High St.) in Columbus, Ohio.
The TransOhio Partners Discussion Group is an opportunity for people to talk about common issues, to receive support, to exchange resources and to openly share personal experiences including personal frustrations and fears; the highs and the lows; dealing with children, friends and family; addressing issues of sexuality, personal identity and social perceptions; and managing social situations. This group is for non-trans partners.

We’ve been invited by the folks at The Apothecary Shops in Columbu, to visit their facility and to see how our hormones are compounded! Please plan to attend this great informational opportunity. It’s definitely a way to learn more about what you are putting into your body and how hormones can effect you (both physically and emotionally). Plus, having more information about hormones allows you to be a better advocate for your own health care! We can carpool to The Apothecary Shops.

Lambda Literary Award. Her second book, She’s Not the Man I Married: My Life with a Transgender Husband was published in 2007. Besides being an author, Helen is an activist, academic and also partner to a transgender woman. Boyd’s been running online groups since 2000 and has presented workshops at many conferences and has given keynote talks at gatherings such as First Event. Boyd’s writing has also appeared in anthologies and she lectures regularly at colleges. Boyd has also taught Gender Studies courses at Merrimack College (MA) and at (WI), where she also taught a course on transgender lives.
