On June 28, March for Equality plans is striving for over 50 simultaneous nationwide marches to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots. This is the 2009 event for the Million Gay March.

March for Equality’s Web site lists the following states as having marches planned: Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Washington, D.C. and the United Kingdom.

Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana are listed as states planning marches, but only Indiana has a march scheduled on their state page. So as of now, the closest march listed on the Web site is Indianapolis. That march will be held at 2 p.m. at City County Building (200 E. Washington St.). If anyone knows what is going on in Ohio, please let me know.

Love your blog, been lurking for months.

What do you think?
