Sesame Street on what makes marriage

Sesame Street, the long-running children’s show, talks about marriage. While there is no mention of gay marriage, when the child and Grover talk about what makes a marriage they use genderless language and focus on aspects of marriage like helping each other.

  1. yeah thats great that they dont heterosexualize it and all.
question when was this episode aired? That kid is wearing a shirt that was made for the 80’s

  2. It’s marvelously done! I NEVER got tired of Sesame Street as a kid in the 70’s. I loved how they made me feel I learned something each and every day without getting bored or disinterested!

    …ADORE THEM and PBS!

I wonder if the child was coached to say “two people” or if it was entirely his own doing? Of course, I’d prefer the latter.

2,000,000,000,000 points for Sesame Street! KUDOS!

We’ll blog about this soon. Thanks SQPNTK.
