Gay music icons rise again for summer

Two gay music icons of sorts are back. Perez Hilton is reporting that Whitney Houston will be releasing her much anticipated seventh album on September 1, with a single to come as early as July. Hopefully her comeback goes more smoothly than Britney’s.

In other news, a gay classic “I Will Survive” is being remade by the Pussy Cat Dolls, and they are calling “Hush Hush; Hush Hush.” This bulk of the song is essentially a remix of the original with the addition of “hush hush” by the girls who aren’t Nicole Scherzinger in the background. But I am still a sucker for a beat like that.

  1. i find it interesting that the reference to “I Will Survive” comes through halfway through the song.
I can’t really decide if it is a good thing, or a bad thing. Good thing that the PCD didn’t just take the original song and put some different beats to it, but bad thing cause they only took some bits and pieces from the original song.
