The federal lawsuit challenging California’s Proposition 8, Perry v. Schwarzenegger, is beginning on Monday, Jan. 11. Chief Judge Vaughn Walker has tentatively decided to allow cameras into the courtroom, but has denied requests for live streaming of the proceedings.
In order to keep courtrooms under control and to ensure a fair trial, judges can take certain measures, such as limiting cameras and reporters in the courtroom.
