Watch: GetEqual protests DOMA at Boehner’s district office

Supporters of GetEqual Ohio and Equality Ohio teamed up March 9, to protest Republican House Speaker John Boehner‘s use of tax payer money to uphold the Defense of Marriage Act.

Five of the activists refused to leave Boehner’s West Chester, Ohio, district office after they were denied a meeting with an aide. His staff also rejected a petition urging Boehner to stop wasting Congress’s time and taxpayer’s money defending DOMA, which was signed by 33,233 Ohioans.

Watch GetEqual’s latest video of the Boehner sit-in below:

All five of the participants in the sit-in were arrested and charged with trespassing. They were each have to pay a $100 fine and $105 in court costs.
